There are many sites selling homebrewing equipment and supplies. Sometimes, price can lead a decision, and often that is a mistake. When quality of equipment and supplies counts, as in this hobby, it’s important to balance price vs. quality and where it matters – freshness.
Some of the sites that I recommend (many I shop at often) are:
Adventures in Homebrewing – Adventures in Homebrewing is actually my LHBS (Local Home Brew Shop). They’ve been selling homebrewing equipment and supplies since 1999, and are privately owned. I note the ownership here, because some sites aren’t owned by individuals, they’re owned by companies or private equity firms. I tend to not buy from the latter. Adventures as a great selection, and often has prices on items like used kegs that others can’t touch. They offer free shipping on orders over $55, and flat rate shipping on orders under $55 (some exceptions, which are noted on the site).
MoreBeer! – since 1995, MoreBeer! has offered a huge selection of brewing supplies to homebrewers across the country. They have two warehouses, a manufacturing shop, and four homebrew stores, and are privately owned. I discovered MoreBeer! in 2020 and have been giving them all of my grain business since then. They offer free shipping on orders over $59, and flat rate shipping of $7.99 on orders under $59 (some exceptions, which are noted on the site). I find MoreBeer! to be the least expensive option for ordering bulk grain, as they allow you to order grain in 10lb bags and get free shipping – few other sites do that for the price that MoreBeer! charges for the grain.
